Dipl.-Ing. Jan Albers

Dipl.-Ing. Jan Albers was born on 13.01.1969 in Hamburg, Germany. After finishing the high-school in 1988 he studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. Between 1996 and 2000 he acted as the deputy energy commissioner of the German government for the building projects concerning the removal of the capital from Bonn to Berlin.. During this time he was responsible for the realisation of renewable energy systems (especially photovoltaic+solar cooling) at the buildings of government/parliament. From 2000 to 2006 he was the project manager of an exploratory focus about solar assisted cooling systems at the IEMB (Institute for Rehabilitation+Modernisation of Buildings). Since then he is project leader for research projects at the Technical University of Berlin concerning the conception, simulation, control and improvement of energy supply system with single and multi stage sorption chillers. Since 2011 he leads the group for theoretical research activities.
