Smart Fans and Components with cloud technologies 
For residential and industrial heatpumps there are some key factors to ensure satisfied end users. Essential of course are a permanent availability of the plant and very low acoustics over the whole lifetime of the heatpump itself. The same is further true for all components of which the device is built of. ZIEHL-ABEGG presents a cloud based solution, initially developed for fans, which can process other than fan data as well: ZAbluegalaxy The introduced solution is capable to provide predictive maintenance data for all ZIEHL-ABEGG fans connected to the cloud and monitoring of all components connected to the cloud, which puts service in the position to act instead of react to provide permanent device operation by exchanging critical components scheduled before they stop operating unanticipated. This is achieved by a lifetime calculation depending on the real duty points of the fan over the whole lifetime which provides customers the remaining service life to schedule service. In case of unexpected system outage the cloud can provide push notification to the service. Further the operational data and the failures reported to the cloud by the components can be checked remotely. This allows the service to have a first failure diagnosis before being on site. Further the solution can provide early warnings if something within the system changes the system away from ideal operation: This can as well be soiled or blocked heat exchangers or fans as resonance. The later one is detected by sensors on board of the fan. If resonance is detected within the system a slightly different operational point can be selected remote to provide the best acoustics to the customer. The presentation will provide an overview over the possibilities of ZAbluegalaxy especially in combination with heat pump applications.
