The focus on heat pump is constantly increasing due to electrification, accelerate clean energy transition, increasing efficiency, decreasing energy consumption and diversifying energy sources. All parameters reflected in REPowerEU of the European Commission: Affordable, secure and sustainable energy for Europe. 

This presentation will be rooted in 2-3 real-life case studies of heat pumps using natural refrigerant and different compressor technologies. Included in this it will be presented how the different technologies match to various applications and demands. Finally, a glance at the future of R-717 heat pumps from Johnson Controls will be presented.
